« | JOCKEY AGENTS BARRED | AT AURORA I ♦ AURORA, 111., April 30.— Abolition of the use of jockey agents at the Fox Valley Jockey Clubs track, as well as other Illinois courses, became imminent following a conference of the board of stewards here, at which a decision was reached this afternoon. The following announcement was made by the board of stewards, consisting of C. J. FitzGerald, T. C. Bradley and J. T. Ireland, and posted in the corridor of the racing secretarys office. The text of the official announcement is: "No jockey may have an agent, and no one will be allowed to solicit mounts for any jockey other than the owner of his contract or trainer or authorized agent for said owner. "Free lance jockeys must register their ] lowest riding weight with the clerk of the I scales or other accredited representative of the association, and be prepared to accept j mounts when application is made for their i services. "A list of such jockeys will be posted in the outer office for the convenience of own- j ers and trainers. Signed "Board of Stewards." *
