I JAMAICA TURF NOTES $ ยง Jockey R. Workman will leave for Ken-| tucky Friday to ride Bomar Stables Grand Slam in the Derby. Morton L. Schwartz Observant, an eligible for the Excelsior Handicap, was breezed a mile in 1:48 over the Jamaica course before the first race Thursday. The son of On Watch was in hand all the way, and his move was decidedly impressive. Kay Kamen, associated with Walter Disney in the production of Mickey Mouse, registered his racing colors with The Jockey i Club. They are black, yellow sash, vermilion braces and sleeves, and light blue cap. Willie Shea will train his horses, and the first purchase is Snap Judgment, bought out of the Labrot sale. Other horses will be purchased with the intention of racing a well-balanced I stable in California.
