LUCY, under steadying restraint for about five eighths, raced to the lead with a rush when getting; through on the inside and tired, but stalled off GYPSY FLAME. The latter raced wide throughout and, a strong factor after the first quarter, failed to withstand the winner, but held on well and was gaining rapidly at the end. SAILORS GIFT, forced back on the second turn, rallied mildly when clear, but tired badly in the late stages. LADY GENIE lost much ground and also tired badly. ENOLA began slowly. ENTREE was throueh after showing speed for three quarters. Overweight — Sailors Gift, 4 pounds; Gee Gee, 1.
