KlMSIS wont to the front soon after the start and. openine; up a good lead while saving ground, had •nouch left at the finish to hold SWEET MYSTERY. The latter lacked early speed, but made up ground Steadily when clear in the stretch and was gaining at the finish. CLAUDE K. showed good speed and, althouch weakening near the end. was good enough to hold third place. SANTA MONICA lost ground by racing wide, but finished fast. FAIR LAY, close up from the start, entered the stretch close to the rail to take a short lead, but bolted to the middle of the track suddenly an eighth out to knock PAT W. off stride, for which she was disqualified and placed second. PAT W., close up from the start, raced wide while making his move and was just about to liead FAIR LAY when knocked off stride by the latter. He came again and was gaining rapidly at the end. SIR SATIN came gamely when clear in the stretch, to finish well. MIDSON saved much ground approaching the stretch turn, and went well to the finish. SECRET TRYST had early speed, but was forced to take up when FAIR LAY bolted in the stretch, and lost all chance. AKSALA was in close quarters on the back stretch and had little chance. BLUE LILLIAN was outrun to the stretch, then came to the middle of the track to finish very fast and best ZEBULO near the end. ZEBULO was permitted to drop too far out of it in the early running, came to the outside of the field to close fast, and barely missed. BONYNGE, well rated, close up in the early Tunning, saved ground in the stretch. MORALE raced on the outside in the early stages, loomed up dan gerously after entering the stretch, but tired near the end. HARDATIT and MISS SAGE dropped back when the real racing beean.
