Y., April 30.— Alfred Gwynne VanderbUt, youthful sportsman, who topped the list of Americas owners in 1935 with total earnings of 03,605, will have a pair of representatives in Saturdays Jamaica Handicap, ,000 added, sprint of six furlongs. They are the stake winners Good Harvest and Purple Knight, in the Jamaica with 110 and 108 pounds, respectively. This will mark the first appearance in the New York area of the famous cerise and white block silks of the master of Sagamore Farm. Good Harvest was extensively campaigned last year, earning 7,395 in twenty-three starts, which included six victories, among them triumphs in the Jerome, Yorktown and Rowe Memorial Handicaps, and seconds in the Southern Maryland and Baltimore Handicaps. Purple Knight gleaned ,870 in hanging up six victories, including victories in the Paul Revere and T. K. Lynch Memo-j rial Handicaps, and seconds in the Prince George and Thanksgiving Handicaps. Sation, top weight with King Saxon at 128 pounds, galloped an easy three-quarters at Belmont Park this morning. The Gale-tian gelding was not asked for speed and simply loped along to cover the distance in 1:23. Plat Eye and Black Buddy, Green-tree Stable candidates for the week-end spe-! cial event, went three-quarters in l:14Vr,, the initial half in :48ts. Marching Home, one of the fields light weights, at 100 pounds, sped Saturdays distance in 1:13, the half in :47% and five furlongs in :59%. King Saxon, C. H. "Pat" Knebelkamps sprinting aa, whose meeting with Sation is exciting interest in local circles, was brought over to the Jamaica course from his home training grounds at Aqueduct but was not let down for a serious test. With ten starters the Jamaica will gross ! ,400, making it a worthwhile offering.
