"DAILY DOUBLE" AT SALEM SALEM. N. H., May 6.— The "Daily Dou ble," popular form of betting at other New England tracks will be used for the first time at Rockingham Park during its spring meeting, May 25 to June 13. "The public demands the Daily Double so the directors of the New Hampshire Jockey Club have voted to install this feature at the spring meeting," general manager Lou Smith announced today. Rockingham refused to have the "Double" last season when both Narragansett Park and Suffolk Downs added the "Daily Double" to the pari-mutuels. Installation of the "Double" at Rockingham will mean the use of fifty additional clerks in the mutuels during the spring meeting.
