| BOLD VENTURE, RED RAIN ] ! AND SNARK WORK FAST ] NEW YORK, N. Y., May 6.— Three of the prominent three-year-olds of the year were shown in useful trials this morning when C. V. Whitneys Red Rain and Morton L. Schwartz Bold Venture were brought out at Belmont Park, and the Wheatley Stables Snark was worked at Aqueduct. Red Rain, which is heading for the Belmont Stakes, showed a handy mile in 1:40%. Bold Venture, appearing for the first time since his Kentucky Derby victory, went along for six furlongs in l:13*f,, and at Aqueduct Fitzsim-mons permitted Snark to open up in earnest when he ran a mile in 1:38-.%. The Red Rain fractions were :12"f , :24%, :36V3, :48lf.. l:00*f,, 1:13%, 1:26%, 1:40%. Snark, in his fast move, went a first half in :46%, the five furlongs in :58, six furlongs in 1:11%, seven furlongs in 1:24% and the distance in 1:38%.
