J ... ...... --....■■.... j SEEK MORE NOMINATIONS | | FOR THE ILLINOIS DERBY | AURORA, 111., May 6.— In an effort to obtain additional candidates for the 2,000 added Illinois Derby, which is scheduled for May 22, at the Fox Valley Jockey Clubs track, telegram have been sent to numerous of the foremost owners of prospects reminding them of the deadline for making entries, which is May 15. Among thope who have been solicited are Greentree Stable, Bomar Stable, A. G. Van-derbilt, Walter M. Jeffords, Belair Stud, Brookmeade Farm, Ogden Phipps, C . V. Whitney, Calumet Farm Stable, Branncastle Farm, Coldstream Stud and several others. Illinois turfmen are strongly represented in the forthcoming renewal of the three-year-old stake, with Understand, Lame Duck and El Bailarino entered for the Blue Ridge Farm Stable; Brilliant Light, Higher Cloud, Blind Pig and Flavor, representing Mrs. Emil Denemark; Wayaloft from the stable of Mrs. A. Sabath, and W. E. Schmidts Holl Image. Other eligibles announced by racing secretary Leigh through Wednesday included: Capt. Cal, Songmaker, Banister, Bow and Arrow, The Fighter, Sangreal, Doran, Wise Duke, Dnieper, Southern Belle, Professor Paul, Carvola, Palm Island, Just Frank, My j Auntie, Reaping, Jaber, Lolschen, Flag Cadet, Rushaway, and Sir Gawaine.
