BASHFORD MANOR SATURDAY Thirty-Fifth Renewal of Louisville Race Promises Close Contest — Record Field Likely. LOUISVILLE, Ky., May 6.— With a large, fast and strongly representative field ready to compete for the prize, Saturdays thirty-fifth running of the Bashford Manor Stakes, ,000 added fixture for two-year-olds, promises to piove one of the most keenly contested and exciting in many years. This is the third of four features to be run during the current meeting and it will determine the best of the young stars now racing in this section. It will be decided over five furlongs and last year was won by Coldstream in the fast time of :5975. Coldstream finished fourth in the Kentucky Derby last Saturday. Almost without exception every large western stable will be represented in Saturdays renewal and the number of starters may establish a new record for the stake. Some of the more prominent establishments harboring probable starters include those of Charles T. Fisher, Mrs. Ethel V. Mars, E. R. Bradley, Waggoner Brothers, C. B. Shaffer, E. D. Shaffer, R. L. Baker, Jack Howard, Mrs. Silas B. Mason, J. W. Parrish, A. Pelle-teri, F. A Burton, H. H. Cross, T. C. Worden, and Woodward and Barnhill, among others. Included in the large array of almost certain starters are the following: Sweepalot, Shootin High, Murph, Fast Express, Doga-way, Manna Miss, Busy Lutrecia, Prairie Dog, High Polish, Heelfly, Bohannon, Her Mosillo, Evening Tide, Ginocchio, Chenault, Billionaire, Biologist, Epitome, Five Sisters, Tobacco Buyer and others.
