LADY HOCKBERGER displayed keen speed from the start, withstood determined opposition from SIR KAI during the lirst half mile and. shaking him off, drew out in the stretch run. SIR KAI, in closest pursuit of the pacemaker Irom the beginning, while not good enough for the winner was always best of the others. IMA GREENOCK, on the outride while racing under steadying restraint and forwardly placed, continued Samely to the close. LCM JOY made up some ground, though never a serious threat. LONGFORD, away well, lacked speed to keep up and pulled up lame. GALLA was in a jam approaching the half mile ground, was taken up abruptly and was unable to recover. BROWN TOP went to the front at once, drew clear in the opening sixteenth, was rated along under stout restraint and then hard ridden through the stretch, dominated the running to the end. BEAU THOR, in close chase of the winner from the outset, continued gamely to the finish. OFFICE BOY gained a forward position in the lirst eighth and continued gamely to the finish. CAPTAIN HULL went evenly throughout and was gains willingly at the end. COURT was never a threat. KIMBALL, unruly at the post, was outrun. Scratched— 25478-Sir Rollie, 110: Flag Unfurled, 110. GRANNYS TRADE had the most speed from the start, lo command to CIYIL WAR when reaching the stretch, but responding gamely to hard urging came again and was up in the last strides. CIYIL WAR displayed good speed, moved through on the inside at the stretch turn and fought it out with good energy right to the end. BLUE DAY worked his way up steadily, came to the outside in the stretch and closed with a rush. GLYNNA gained a contending position rounding out of the back stretch and finished with good energy, though was unable to reach the leadeis. LT. GREENOCK, well placed, was unable to keep pace in the drive, faltering in the last sixteenth. BACON was prominently placed for the first half mile, dropping back steadily thereafter. ST. CONTINUITY moved up fast nearing the first turn, and forced the pace, only to falter in the last quarter mile. CHANCF] KING moved up on the outside nearing the far turn and dropped back in the last live-sixteenths. EASIEST WAY. taken up repeatedly in the run to the first turn, was never prominent. FAIREST FLAG, slow to settle into her stride, improved her position steadily, closed stoutly on the outside through the stretch and outlasted CABLEGRAM at the end. The latter displayed good speed, was carried wide by BUSBY, wore down the latter for the lead, but was unable to keep pace in the closing test. PEACE MOVE raced into contention on the outside in the run down the back stretch and, though unable to reach the leaders, outlasted BUSBY for third. The latter had good speed in pacemaking, = but tired in the closing drive. SUN CAMP faitered in the drive. SWEET SUSAN was never prominent.
