ROCKINGHAM PARK NOTES j ยง j Closing date for the seven stakes to be contested during the spring meeting of the New Hampshire Jockey Club at Rockingham Park, May 25 to June 13, closes Saturday, May 16. Opening day feature at the local course will be the second running of the Speed Handicap, ,500 added feature. R. Robertsons Lynx Eye was the winner of the inaugural in 1935 over A. G. Vanderbilts Dogmata. A. G. Vanderbilts five-year-old. Identify, is expected to carry the cerise and white racing silks of the youthful sportsman in the Speed Handicap. Headed by the stake contenders. New Deal and Howard, the Araho Stable of Mrs. W. E OHara, have applied for stall applications at the spring meeting. Under the training of Bobby Curran, the Araho thoroughbreds have performed first rate this spring. Curran will have sixteen stalls at Rockingham during the spring session. With the installation of the "Daily Dou ble" at Rockingham, fifty additional mutuel clerks will be employed. Managing director Lou Smith and officers of the New Hampshire Jockey Club are working on plans to install a camera finish for the spring and fall meetings. Definite announcement on the camera should be forthcoming the first of next week.
