I BAY MEADOWS TURF NOTES | _. 1 Harry Uhna, noted western trainer, who twice won the rich Cof froth Handicap at Tijuana, has abandoned an eastern campaign, according to word received here. Jack Atkin, owner of the Pasadena Stable and well-known California breeder, i3 ill at his home in Pasadena with influenza, according to trainer Bill Molter. Morris Hayward, the former rider, and his family expressed their deep appreciation of funds raised at Bay Meadows for the ex-booter, who needed medical attention. Hay-ward is now at Toronto, Ont. Marie Childs of Renton, Wash., purchased Elswick from Jack Atkin and has engaged Everett Durham of San Bruno to train for her.
