PRINCE FELLOW, forced to lose ground when improving his position, closed with a rush. SONGMAKER began ranidlv, but unable to keep up, worked his wav forward steadily, was guided to the outside in the stretch and made up ground in the last eighth. SPUR FLOWER raced wide. CHINESE EMPRESS rushed to the front in the opening quarter, was pinched back at the lar turn, came again in the stretch and finished strongly. MISS MELODY showed a good effort. GEO. GABLE quit.
