■ j [ AURORA TURF NOTES | , g— — « Jockey J. Ketry was an addition to the jockey colony at the Fox Valley Jockey Clubs course. He applied for a license and expects to get into action next week. I. Weil arrived with Slim Rosie, Tomye, My Granson and Commish Beauty, which he registered at the racing secretarys office Saturday morning. The nomination of J. H. Whitneys Old Bones was received by racing secretary Leigh, along with entries of M. L. Schwartz Bold Venture, winner of the Kentucky Derby, and Split Second, for the Illinois Derby. C. J. Martin recently purchased Staro, from Mrs. H. Torriente and the three-year-old will perform in the colors of Mrs. C. J. Martin in the future. Beginning with Mondays program and for the remainder of the Aurora meeting, eight races will be run daily according to the announcement made by R. S. Eddy, Jr., president of the Fox Valley Jockey Club. The stewards excused Dark Mist from the second race Saturday, when it was reported that the mare bled when breezed Saturday morning.
