HE DEVIL dashed to the front at once, but had to bo hard ridden to hold command and was hard pressed by OUR SPOT at. the end. OUR SPOT showed fine early speed in following the pace closely and might have won with a strong whip rider. BUD SMITH lost ground while making his move, but showed a good effort. BALD EAGLE was slow to get going and was never dangerous, although making up some ground. ARROW HEART raced fairly well. The others were outclassed. EPINEL went to the front soon after the start and opening up a good lead while making the pace, had enough left to hold OTRA VEZ. The latter made a game run in the stretch, but was not good enough. FOXES FOLLY showed a fair effort. DENVER LAD made a brief run, then tired. EARLY HOUR was close enough to the pace, but lacked his usual finishing dash. ELANAC showed a disappointing effort and was never dangerous. ROTHERHAM lacked speed, was shut off when making a run in the stretch and can do much better. THIRD RACE 3-4 MILE Out of Chute. OUR MORTGAGE dashed to the front soon after the start to open up a good lead and, continuing gamely to the end, was awarded the decision in a very close finish. LOVERS CHAT moved up strongly on the outside in the stretch and raced strongly to the end. FLASHING THRU, showing much improvement, got through on the inside in the stretch to finish fast. LITTLE INA closed well. EASTER TOMMY was all over the track. INFLATE and ANIMATE could not keep up. PAT W. stumbled and unseated his rider after going a short distance. Scratched 27426 Zebulo, 110. The latter was never far from the pace and raced gamely to the finish. DUTCHY turned in a fair effort. PENMAR bolted to the outside fence at the start, but was quickly righted and took a long lead in the first half mile, then tired and bore out badly on the stretch turn. MISS KIEV was always outrun. LANTY BOY raced to the front at once and, favored by good rating while the majority of the other contenders were victims pf bad riding, met with little opposition and won easily. BOURBON PRINCE, incompetently ridden, was rushed up close to LANTY BOY rounding the far turn, was then taken up and permitted to drop many lengths back of the pace with his rider appearing to be attempting to take him under restraint, then came again in the stretch and was gaining rapidly at the finish. ROYAL JULIA was taken back early and was permitted to race very wide in the stretch. CRESTA RUN closed some ground. JIM NED was rushed into exhaustion around the far turn. TOO BUSY showed good speed in pacemaking and saved ground where possible, but could not resist the winner. ULTRA VOTE came again next to the rail in the stretch. EIGHTH POLE made up some ground.
