PROPHETIC, under strong handling from the start and unable to improve its early position, moved up fast after reaching the stretch, forged to the front in the last eighth and finished under pressure, but held PURPLE WING safe. The latter, a strong factor from the start, wore INDIAN LACE down ncaring the final quarter, but tired in the last stages. DASAKI showed a good effort. INDIAN LACE sprinted into a clear lead during the opening quarter, gave way when challenged and tired fast in the drive. COLTMAN tired. HOURLESS QUEEN raced wide. LADINO began slowest, was forced to race wide when improving his position, then closed with a rush. LE MISERABLE made up ground, but showed a dull effort. WIGROSE and AMERICAN RED quit.
