t DETROIT TURF NOTES $ s Jockey William Obert has severed his connections with R. E. Johnson and will ride free lance for the remainder of the meeting. Hal Price Headleys The Queen and Bee Line were running a temperature. Bee Line was withdrawn from a race Friday and The Queen was unable to fill her engagement in the Moslem Temple Stakes. Marynell, Azucar and Stand Pat, eligibles for the ,000 added Pontchartrain Handicap, were seen in useful trials this morning. Azucar stepped a mile in 1:45; Stand Pat covered the same distance in 1:46 and Marynell breezed three-quarters in 1:20. They worked around the "dogs." Jockey J. Longden stopped off a few hours en route to Chicago from Suffolk Downs. F. H. Carpenters Capitalist was blistered and will be out of training for some time. H. O. Simmons sold Fancy Flight and Mynah to A. Morullo and the pair were shipped to Akron. Apprentice Leroy Pierson is coming from Chicago Monday and will report to ,H. O. Simmons. R. W. Pearce sold Happy Admiral to H. Richard and the plater was vanned to Lexington, Ky.
