;? LATONIA TURF NOTES A. L,. Taylor, trainer for the Graceland Stock Farm, announced that the six-year-old Gold Diamond underwent an operation, for a wind ailment today. Dr. Harly was brought to Latonia to perform the operation. J. Butler registered Dame Grundy, which he is training for J. Hall Woodford. Charles E. Gross, who is looking after the large Dixiana establishment of Charles T. Fisher during the absence of head trainer Clyde Van Dusen, has arranged to ship the large outfit to Arlington Park on Monday, where it will be joined by Matas Brother and Manager Mike, which were to be vanned from Detroit following fulfillment of their stake engagements there Saturday. Former jockey William Crump, who is training a large stable of runners which race in the interest of Mrs. Crump, has made arrangements for shipment of his charges to Arlington Park on Monday to be prepared for the meeting at the north side Chicago track. Brendard, a recent winner at Latonia, and Thatagal will remain here when the remainder of the Dixiana string goes to Chicago to start in the ,000 added Latonia Oaks, scheduled to feature next Saturdays program at the Milldale course. C. E. Gross will supervise the conditioning of the two fillies. Julius Fleischmann, Leonard J. Smith, Leonard Harrison and Lucien Wulsin have been named honorary stewards for the Gentlemens Cup race, to be offered as an added attraction on next Saturdays program at Latonia. George Brooks, trainer for Theodore Muellers Shady Brook Farm, is contemplating shipment of the thoroughbreds under his supervision to Arlington Park for that meeting. G rover Noel took over five racers that William Crump formerly trained for Willard Wilson and will direct tho training of Golden Pigeon, Red Quilt and the juveniles, Brierton, Cullcoha and Old Style in the future. Tom B. Young took over the two-year-old brown filly, Miss Canary, to train for Sam M. Look. The filly is by Transmute Charlotte B. Jockey H. W. Fisher, who came in from Chicago lo ride Dixianas Sweepalot in the Cincinnati Trophy, returned to the Windy City Saturday night and will resume riding there Monday.
