1 ARLINGTON PARK NOTES $ : The "Daily Double" at Arlington Park will be on the first and second races, announced Roy Carruthers, secretary of the Arlington Park Jockey Club. This change has been made in response to requests from patrons wishing to get their "Double" play completed earlier in the card than heretofore. Mutuels director Mort Shaw has arranged to increase the number of windows selling this popular combination in both the clubhouse and main divisions. Post time for the first race during the thirty-day meeting opening June 29 will be at 2:15 p. m., Chicago time. Special race trains over the Chicago and Northwestern road will run from 12:45 to 1:30, daylight saving time. Sixteen untried two-year-olds owned by Warren Wrights Calumet Stable have arrived at Arlington Park and are being prepared for their racing debuts during the coming thirty-day meeting by trainer Bert Williams. Nine horses from this establish-ment, mostly from the older divisions, are still at Hawthorne and will be vanned over for the Arlington Park meeting. With a powerful array of fast juveniles, the horses of Mrs. Ethel V. Mars Milky Way Farms Stable have been shipped into Arlington Park to prepare for their assault on the richly endowed stakes and purses to be offered at the thirty-day meeting which opens Monday, June 29. Trainer Bob Mc-Garvey has twenty-five horses already in the stalls at the Arlingtpn Heights course.
