TRYANHURRY, well up from : the start and forced to race wide, held on with good courage. ARTHUR B. showed speed from the start, saved ground in the final three-eighths and held on well, but was failing to hold TRYANHURRY. COLONELS . MISS began slowly, raced wide and was in close quarters approaching the finish. COUNTESS MARIO, frac-itious at the post, raced well. FRANK C. delayed the start. EVILO quit. MY SURPRISE, away slowly and far back for almost three-eighths, began to. improve his position fast on the stretch turn, came around the leaders in the final eighth and had something left. BOARD TRADE, well up from the start and in hand until reaching the final quarter, stood a drive gamely. RICKEY ROO, also well rated but never punished, was on the inside in the final three-eighths and raced gamely to the last sixteenth, where he quit. JIRASOL II., shuffled back early, had little chance. GREY STREAK, fractious at the post, lost much ground. TOMYE quit. Overweight Grey Streak, 1 pound; Tomyc, 5; Bonnie Dream, 4. LAFFOON, going in his best form and under strong riding after three-eighths, tired after wearing down SLIP KNOT, but stalled off the latter through the final eighth. SLIP KNOT, giyen a hustling ride and showing the most speed, failed to withstand the winner when entering the stretch and came again mildly on the outside entering the final eighth, but tired thereafter. CORAL REEF JR. failed tq keep up on the turn, then closed well when clear in the stretch. SHADY GIRL tired in the drive. ANAPOLA had no mishaps. KOLEY BEY, away slowly and rushed in the first quarter, failed to keep up thereafter. COPPER TUBE showed a flash of speed. TRACKER took command easily, increased his advantage without need of strong urging on the turn and, continuing well, held his lead safe thereafter. KIEVA, blocked leaving the back stretch, closed fast after losing ground on the stretch turn. EMIGRANTE, taken under strong restraint as he attempted to bear out on the turn, rallied mildly when straightened in the stretch, but faltered in the closing stages. EURYALUS tired badly after showing speed to the stretch. BUSHMASTER suffered light interference shortly after the start. MORNING MAIL showed nothing. MARICA, under light weight, made the early pace under mild restraint, increased her advantage when entering the stretch and, though tiring in the final sixteenth, stalled off SALAAM. The latter, strongly restrained for five-eighths, lost ground on the second turn and tired after racing to the leader with a rush in the stretch, but was the stronger of the two at the end. BUCK LANGHORNE, taken back repeatedly, rallied only mildly when strongly shaken up and tired in the final eighth. FIRE ADVANCE, slow to get going, could not get upv BROWN FEATHERS was through after three-quarters. POMPOSITY lacked, its usual late speed. Overweight Marica, 1 pound; Caliban, 4. HOLLYROOD, close to the pace from the start and under steadying restraint for a mile, opened up a clear lead quickly after coming around the leaders in the final quarter, but had to be strongly shaken up to hold CARVOLA safe. The latter, forced to race wide, improved her position steadily and, closing with determination, was slowly getting to the winner. HOLL IMAGE, outpaced for a mile, and brought to the outside in the stretch, where he made up much ground, was strongest of all in the final stages. DORAN forced the pace under good handling and only gave way in the final sixteenth. TUGBOAT FRANK, away slowly and far back for a mile, came fast thereafter. SPARTA was used up making the pace and tired after a mile. RUSHAWAY, in a contending position from the start, failed to rally to pressure when entering the stretch and was in very close quarters the final eighth. BOW AND ARROW failed to keep up. MISS FLIP displayed improved speed, disposed of" RICCIARDO after a half mile, then failed to keep pace in the stretch. RICCIARDO quit. BATTLING GIRL, closer up than usual, responded well to urging and finished resolutely. RED ROD lost ground gradually in the stretch. SURCOUF was done after going a half mile. MOUSE TRAP showed nothing. SORCERY dropped back after a quarter and trailed thereafter.
