I DUFFERIN PARK NOTES s : 4 Conny Smythe has arranged to ship eight horses from Long Branch to Detroit, Sunday night, for a campaign at the Motor City. Lloyd Gentry, trainer for H. C. Hatch, Mrs. R. Fairbanks and his own horses, returned from a hurried trip to New York. Ed Pollard, custodian of the jockeys room at Dufferin Park, states that he has forty riders registered to ride at the meeting. Charles Wells reports that Fair Dawn foaled a filly at his farm near Oakville. The filly is by Buddy Bauer. Pan Toy and Poop Deck, the property of A. J. Halliwell, will be shipped from Detroit to Long Branch to augment the stable of fifteen now quartered at the west side plant. W. Walton of Bradford, Pa., who is visiting at 257 Rusholme Road, Toronto, is anxious to get in touch with Rex TJnger. Horsemen who are stabling at other tracks during the meeting at Dufferin Park are requested to report the arrival of their horses to W. G. Kelly, who is serving as paddock judge. Jockeys L. Laurin and S. Beecroft, recent arrivals from Montreal, accepted their first mounts of the Ontario season when they rode at Dufferin Park, Saturday. With the announcement that a meeting of ten days would be staged at Devonshire Park, Windsor, several stables, unable to secure stabling accommodations at Hamilton, will transfer direct to the Diamon D track to await the opening of the meeting on July 8. A draft of the H. C. Hatch horses vill be campaigned in New York after the seven-day meeting of the Hamilton Jockey Club.
