BOSTON COMMON lacked early speed and was forced to race wide to enter contention, moved up steadily on the outside and, while finishing gamely, did not threaten the winner. BEARCRY raced BANGOBAR into submission, took a good lead in the back stretch, but tired in the drive. TOPWAY saved ground entering the stretch. LUXURY Was outrun. BANGOBAR tired badly. Won easily; second and third driving. - DONNAPEEP, easily best, was sent into the lead at the first turn, was under slight restraint for the first three-quarters, drew away when called upon and won easily. HUSKER H., closest to the early pace, dropped back on the lower turn, came on again in the stretch and outlasted DR. SPOON. The latter under restraint early, gained gradually on the outside, lost much ground entering the stretch and tired in the last eighth. MURPHEYS LUCK was going well at the end. PRIVATELY tired. CUSTOMIZED, easily best, followed the pace closely under restraint, took the lead on the lower turn and, increasing it steadily, won with speed to spare. LAKAR, hustled into the lead at the first turn, drew clear in the back stretch and held on well in the stretch, but was riot good enough. BYLARIA lacked early speed, lost ground while moving up and was going well at the end. TWO DEMAND showed a good effort. TIME BALL tired in the last eighth. ROCKABYE MOON showed brief early speed. TUT TUT, well placed in the early running, made a game bid for the lead entering the stretch, but was tiring at the end and just lasted to hold WINSOME LASS safe for the place. WINSOME LASS saved ground on the lower turn, came to the outside for the drive and was going gamely at the end. CHEHALIS and SIR JACOB showed speed for a half mile. ULEADUS was outrun. COLDWATER, far back early, finished well in the last stages and was going gamely at the end. BOLD LOVER, closest to the early pace, took the lead on the lower turn, saved ground all the way, but tired in the last eighth.
