Sanborns Granbury scored his second success of the Northampton Park meeting when he led by a comfortable margin throughout in the Portage Hotel Handicap, the featured attraction of the half-holiday card this afternoon. Bubble Up always held the others safe for the second honors. The mile was run in 1:40, a new track record. The racing was staged under ideal conditions, and a capacity crowd witnessed the sport. Favor- ites accounted for a fair share of the races. Golden Throne and Barrido led by safe margins practically throughout their respec-I tive races, winning in hand. Statecraft, Crossed Wires and Beth Macaw all came from behind through the stretch to earn 1 brackets, the first named getting up in the final strides.
