Won handily; second and third driving. DEVILS PACE improved her position steadily, slipped through on the inside rounding the turn, disposed of the leaders and drew away. SUNFEATHERS, well up on the outside for the final eighth, finished gamely and wore down CELTIC LEGEND in the final drive. The latter was rushed into the lead after the break, showed early speed and held on well. PROPRIETARY finished fast on the outside from a slow beginning. BLACKSOD was in trouble racing to the turn. Won driving; second and third easily. FERRYMAN, rank in the running but jumping boldly, was under stout restraint early, moved into command the final turn of the field and held ESCAPADE safe throughout. The latter jumped well all the way and was under restraint, then made a determined bid the final turn of the field and finished well after being bothered by the winner. NATIONAL ANTHEM made a bad landing at the fifth fence, but recovered quickly, moved up fast going to the twelfth fence and then faltered thereafter. The latter, close up and under restraint, moved up fast when called upon, assumed command at the sixteenth post, but finished on his own courage. COULEEDAM, outrun in the early stages, slipped through on the inside turning for home and finished well. LIGHT made a determined bid when straightened out in the stretch run, but was tiring at the finish. GERSHWIN raced greenly all the way. MARITO broke slowly and was outrun. EXCITE raced forwardly all the way, was placed under pressure in the stretch run, but faltered at the end. GEAN CANACH saved ground at the turns, came to the outside for the stretch run, but made up ground slowly. JEAN BART forced the early pace and quit badly from his early efforts.
