ROYAL RANK raced forwardly from the start, came to the outside rounding the stretch turn, disposed of LOYAL SON and drew away in the final eiehth. KNIGHTS PLUME was kept forwardly under urging while saving ground, came to the outside of LOYAL SON in the stretch and bore over at the end. He was disqualified for fouling. LOYAL SON was rushed into command after the break, drew away into a safe lead while saving ground, but was tiring fast at the end. TORY ROSE broke well, raced forwardly throughout and had no mishaps. STROLLING BY swerved after the break and bumped HARVESTING and then dropped back. BRED IN BLUE was outrun. Scratched 34180 Lost Battalion, 103. Overweight Bred in Blue, 3 pounds. ALLOWANCE was outrun in the early stages, came to the outside in the stretch and finished fast. YETIVE raced forwardly the first part, came to the outside in the stretch and then quit. CELTIC LEGEND was rushed into command after the break, showed early speed while saving ground and had no mishaps. LITTLE SLEEPER was close up in the early stages, but hung under urging at the end. The latter, close up from the start, came to the outside entering the stretch and was wearing the winner down at the end. JANEEN was outrun in the early stages, made up ground steadily and finished well. MAGIC CIRCLE forced the early pace from the start on the outside of the leader, but faltered badly in the stretch. PRINCE ABBOT was outrun in the early stages, responded when called upon, but could not menace the leaders. BOUNDING COUNT was outrun in the early stages, worked his way up and finished well. CAPT. JERRY, dose to the early pace, faltered under pressure at the end. MACHILLA saved ground and had no mishaps in the running. SOPHISTICATED began slowly and was outrun to the final eighth. The others had no excuses in the running. Scratched 34903Top High, 110.
