Knight, Chicago banker, -who long has been prominently identified with harness racing as a breeder and owner, is rapidly expanding his thoroughbred holdings, having purchased the young maris Bright Bubble from the Eslcay Stable, and Coffee Cup and Black Image, from W. E. Schmidt They have been removed to his farm near Nicholasville, Ky. Jake Lowenstein and Mose Goldblatt were arrivals from Louisville Wednesday morning, with their respective stables reaching here later in the day. Mack Garner came over from his Covington home to look over the local situation, and is undecided whether he will ride here or remain at River Downs. Harry Saladin purchased the three-year-old gelding, Batman, from the Rosedale Stable, George C. White representing the latter in the transaction. In the announcement of the entries and weights on the Keene Handicap and Breeders Stakes, the names of Vicarcss in the former, and Her..Reigh in the. latter, were omitted. Vicaress was assigned 115 pounds, and Her Reigh, 112 pounds. The placing judges are Larry Bogenschutz, Sidney S. Brown and Fred Burton, the last named also serving as clerk of the scales. William Cunningham is the timer and paddock judge, and . S. Winters and Walter Jones are the patrol judges. Charles McLennan is acting as racing secretary, having written the condition book and made the weights for the Keene Handicap, Ashland Stakes and Breeders Stakes. He will leave Saturday night for Texas to take up his duties at Arlington Downs. William Hamilton, with his full crew, is here to do tha starting. Edward P. Woodward, owner of the Vat-dina Farm Stable, is here from his Houston home for the meeting. He has a dozen horses here in charge of J. J. Flanagan a division of ten having been left at Churchill Downs to await the opening of that meeting The Valdina horses, which arrived here yesterday afternoon, are Eagle Pass. Brown Prodigy, Solar Hawk, Cross S., Tedall Calculator, Valdina, Hondo, Watchfully Sir Emerson, Lady Bessie and Sun Petel. Rush McCoy got in with The Break and Squeezer from Chicago,
