OVERSHOES, going in his best form and strongly ridden, took a slight lead in the early stages, drew dear aftec going a half mile and held GALE WAY safe. The latter forced the pace most of the way and held on well under vigorous riding. JOHN BANE broke slowly, was unable to get through on the inside at the stretch turn, was taken out and finished strongly. FORCED LANDING had no mishaps. SAYLOMA was never a factor. SCRIP MONEY, away fast, was rated close to the pace, overhauled PARQUA PASS when straightened out in the stretch, impeded PARQUA PASS in the last sixteenth and was disqualified. DAISY BANE improved her position gradually and finished with a rush. PARQUA PASS look a commanding lead early, tired when challenged and was taken up sharply when SCRIP MONEY crossed to the rail. The latter possessed the most early speed, opened up a good lead after going a quarter, held on gamely under punishment, but was unable to withstand the challenge of the winner. WOODLANDER, far out of it m the early stages, closed an immense gap. BLUE TRAIN lost considerable ground at the first turn, recovered quickly and reached contention, but tired. The latter worked her way up on the outside, lost ground entering the stretch, closed strongly and was rapidly wearing down the winner. REAPING, never far out o it, saved much ground and held on well. MY DAINTY was hard hustled for the entire trip and showed a good effort. STE. LOUISE hacT early speed and was in close quarters all during the final quarter. BACHELOR DINNER quit badly after going a half mile. DREEL was never a factor.
