W. T. Waggoner launched it several years ago. Always regarded as one of the most pretentious stock farms west of the Mississippi, there has been a steadily increasing program of expansion since its inception, awl this year finds nineteen fashionably bred yearlings being put through their paces in anticipation of their racing debuts in 1937, and twenty-six foals now being weaned. Among the former, in keeping with E. Paul Waggoners desire to infuse new blood lines, there are seven youngsters, two by Display, one by Chance Play, one by Flying Ebony, one by St. James, one by Claptrap and one by Sting, all noted sires, and all from well-bred mares. In the 1936 foals, Liberty Limited, which gives promise of developing into a splendid sire, is represented by eight nicely proportioned youngsters. An addition was the son of Kilkerry, from Bissagos, recently purchased from the Spreckels interests. Girl Scout and Thats That have been bred to Chance Play; Pansy Walker and Canfli to Display, and it is Mr. Waggoners plan to allow the mares to remain in Kentucky until they foal in 1937. after which Pansy Walker will be bred to Sickle. Girl Scout to Ariel, Thats That to Display and Canfli to Gallant Fox. After weaning, the entire 1936 group will be quartered at the former polo field, which has been turned into a nursery.
