f KEENELAND TURF NOTES j and The horses that J. W. Murphy will campaign here include four owned by Mrs. J. Houston, two belonging to D. B. Midklff, and one the property of J. T. Ireland. Headed by Crowning Glory, the stable of Clarence L. Croan here under trainer Kenneth Noe also Includes Naughty, Rhine, Big Gawk, Royal Charm, Fort Estill and Silver Fleet. Croan is a member of the Kentucky State Racing Commission. Count Morse, crack three-year-old, along with Galladec, Greedy and Lyric, are reported ready for racing here under Warren Wrights Calumet Farm Stable colors. C. Thomas i training the quartet. David W. Butler, prominent motion picture director, has Canny Scot, Screen, Dash-wood and Grace Carome here in charge of Albert Dunne. The other Butler horses will remain at Louisville and following the fall meeting at that point the entire stable will be shipped to Santa Anita. Nick Huff arrived from New York to handle the riding engagements of Johnny Gilbert. Milford Unger, who is In charge of gates at several tracks, will fill a similar position here. Unger for many years was manager of the Erlanger Grand Opera House in Cincinnati. Fred Radtke, auditor at Arlington Park, is assisting Roy Carruthers in the management of Keeneland. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bacharach and Alex B. Gordon were visitors and will remain for the meeting. Bacharach, well known New Orleans sportsman, has his extensive Southland Stable here in the care of Cliff Porter. Gordon is taking his first vacation in thirty-five years, but at the same time is considering several offers.
