OAKLAWN PARK TURF NOTES . 1, Apprentice Andy Lo Turco drew his. second suspension of the Oaklawn Park meeting for rough riding in the running of the fifth race Tuesday afternoon astride Pennant Bearer, when he came over too sharply going to the first turn. He was suspended for the balance of the meeting. Clyde Locklear, trainer for the stable of Reynolds Brothers of Fort Worth, Texas, has been assigned stall reservations at River Downs, and will transfer his charges to the Cincinnati track at the close of Oak-lawn Park. The stable is made up of the following racers: Mart, Cherry Creek, Pack Saddle, Escalator, Six Flags, Cactus Jack, Wasp Nest, Col. Goodnight and Aniela G. Bill Hinphy has obtained permission to conduct a public auction in the paddock at Oaklawn Park Thursday beginning at 11:30 oclock. More than twenty horses in training will go on the block to be sold to the highest bidder. L. D. Moore reported the purchase of the seven-year-old chestnut gelding Potion from R. E. Gowin for a private consideration and the racer will be sent to Beulah Park to be rested up pending the opening of the Grove City track. Harry Chappel, trainer for Dr. C. N. Mooney and Miss Mary Lewis, is contemplating to campaign his charges at Keeneland following the climax of the Hot Springs season. He will send the following horses to the Lexington track: Teddy Haslam, Westys Hero, Semester and Lassies Mary. The five-year-old brown gelding Bungler was added to the stable A. Leiderman, who purchased the plater from V. E. Berry for a private consideration. He started in the interest of his new owner in the fifth race Wednesday afternoon. Henry O. Simmons, turf editor of the Chicago Herald-Examiner, was an arrival from New Orleans and will remain in Hot Springs until the close of the season at Oaklawn Park, covering the third running of the Arkansas Derby on Saturday. A large delegation of Memphis racing fans have made arrangements to come over from the Bluff City for Derby day. A special train will make the trip from Memphis, returning following the running of the final days program. Following the close of the Hot Springs racing season, the four-year-old filly Yetive will be sent to Kentucky to be bred to Sazerac, A. B. Letelliers stallion, which is standing in the Blue Grass State.
