MARY VITO was hustled into a commanding lead soon after the start, bore out in the stretch, but" held on gamely. PLAYDEMA raced well up for the entire trip and held on with good courage. VANITA made up some ground and finished strongly. LASSIES MARY tired after going three-quarters. SEVEN STAR lacked speed, was under punishment throughout and showed a dull performance. LUMILLION, slow to begin, worked his way up by easy stages and closed with a rush under hard urging. BELLE ELAN improved its position gradually, but tired after reaching the final quarter.
