TORNADOES HIT FIVE STATES The tornadoes that swept five mid-western states killed twenty-nine persons, injured 250 and caused property losses of more than ,000,000. The toll is as follows: Illinois, twelve dead, seventy-five injured; Kansas, seven dead; Missouri, five dead, twenty injured; Arkansas, five dead, 100 injured; Oklahoma, fourteen injured.
