SAND CLOUD, well handled and never far back, worked his way ,up on the inside and came to the outside in the stretch and drew into the lead in the last sixteenth. MISS BALKO broke well, was rushed into the lead quickly and opened up a big lead, but tired in the late stages. LITTLE EMPRESS raced well for the entire trip and held on gamely. PRINCESS QUEEN was hard hustled for the entire trip, raced close up and tired when put to extreme pressure. IMPERIAL MARYAN had no excuses. NOMA F. broke slowly and was never a factor. COL. RED MOSS, much thebest, was hustled into the lead soon after the start and, drawing away, was never in danger and was well in hand at the end. TRANS WISE, never faf back, responded well to hard urging, but was no match for the winner. CANT CATCH raced well up for the entire trip and showed a good effort. NORA CREINA broke rapidly,- was forced to take back on the turn, then came to the outside -and finished strongly. PARI CALL began slowly and closed a good gap. THIRD RACE 1 MILE AND 70 YARDS. POLARISCOPE, rated off the pace, got to the front in the stretch, but tired under hard urging. MR. DEINS, away fast and hustled for the entire trip, showed good speed for three-quarters, then tired under pressure. KERRYLITE was prominent to the final eighth, where he tired.
