HAPPY DINAH got through an opening soon after the start to take a good lead, but was used up making the pace and tired near the finish. GALLIENNE saved ground most of the way and showed a fair effort. HI-HUN was closest to HAPPY DINAH in the early stages, but tired in the stretch. QUEL JEU acted badly at the post and bore out badly rounding the stretch turn, but finished fast. FULL TILT acted badly at the post and was started from outside the gate. Won handily; second and third driving. ARIEL CROSS was never far from the pace and, coming fast next to the rail in the stretch, headed CAPT. CAL in the last sixteenth and had enough left to hold KING SAXON. The latter, on his good behavier at the post, outbroke the others, but soon dropped back, then came strongly in the middle of the track through the stretch and was going fastest at the finish. CAPT. CAL moved up to catch INDIAN LODGE and took command rounding the stretch turn, but tired near the end. TOROLEE was in close quarters on the inside rounding the far turn. INDIAN LODGE tired in the stretch. The others seemed outclassed. Scratched 55185Jockidc, 107. Overweight Sky Shoot, 1 pound. SIXTH RACE 1 MDLE. Seabiscuit, Nov. 28, 1936 1:36 3 116. STAR SCOUT took a prominent position early and, moving up fast after leaving the back stretch, got through an opening next to the rail in the stretch and outfinished EN MASSE. The latter moved up gamely on the outside when called upon and was on even terms with the winner fifty yards from home, but seemed bothered by the latters whip and, bearing out a trifle, lost his chance when his rider failed to draw his whip until the race was practically over. CANDAR opened up a good lead in the early running, but tired in the stretch. FLEETING MOON was never a dangerous contender and did not make his move until too late. BOSTON BROOK was taken up when in close quarters while racing in last place rounding the first turn and was timidly handled thereafter. MERINA showed good speed for three-quarters, then tired. DEER FLY acted badly at the post and started from outside the gate, bolted toward the inside at the start and struck RED ENSIGN, but was quickly straightened out and, after moving into a contending position in the back stretch, came strongly on the outside of BELOW ZERO in the stretch and defeated the latter narrowly. BELOW ZERO raced to the front at once and, fairly well rated while setting the pace, barely missed. UNDULATE saved ground where possible and closed gamely on the inside. RED ENSIGN met with interference right after the start, but closed ground and was going well at the finish. SPRING FLOOD was used up in the first three-quarters. The others were never dangerous.
