SARATOGA STAKES ENTRIES Features at Famous Spa Attract Nominations of 1,933 Horses. Albany Handicap Leads All Others in Number of Eligibles Forty-Three in Saratoga Handicap. SARATOGA SPRINGS, N. Y., March 31. Stakes to be run during the Saratoga Associations 1938 meeting, at its race course, Saratoga Springs, N. Y., and which closed on March 15, received a total of 1,933 entries from 132 nominators. The list of nominators is once more headed by Alfred Gwynne Vanderbilt with eighty-nine entries, followed by William Ziegler, Jr., with eighty-five; Brookmeade Stable, eighty-four; John Hay Whitney, eighty; E. R. Bradley, seventy-three; Belair Stud, sixty-six; George D. Wide-ner, sixty-three; Wheatley Stable, fifty-five; Milky Way Farm, forty-five; Millsdale Stable, forty-five; Greentree Stable and Falaise Stable, forty-three each; Joseph E. Widener, forty-two; C. S. Howard, thirty-nine; Mrs. John D. Hertz, thirty-seven; Starmount Stable, thirty-six; W. H. La Boyteaux, thirty-four; Calumet Farm, thirty-three; Bomar Stable, thirty-one; Sage Stable and Marshall Field, twenty-nine; Maemere Farm and Mrs. C. Oliver Iselin, twenty-eight; Foxcatcher Farms, twenty-six; Glen Riddle Farms, twenty-four; Howe Stable, twenty-two; Shandon Farm and Mrs. F. Ambrose Clark, twenty-one; Hugh W. Jackson, twenty-one; H. R. Bain, twenty, etc. NEW NOMINATORS. Among the new nominators are H. J. Bundscho, of Michigan, Mrs. Gordon Douglas, Jr., of Long Island, B. F. Whitaker, of Texas, and Miss Clara Lyon, River Edge Farm, R. O. Bacon, Jr., and Panancar Stable, of New York City.
