IRON BUNKER, quick to begin, was always with the leaders and, finishing strongly under hard hand riding, won narrowly in the final strides. BAR THIRTEEN broke well and, holding a forward position to tho finish, was barely beaten. BONARANG moved up gamely after entering the stretch, but hung slightly near the finish. GORDONS GIFT dropped back when in close quarters soon after the start, but was racing nicely at the finish. BROTHER NIBS had a rough trip. EARLY DUDE was in close quarters soon after the start. HOME LOAN went to the front early and, showing a good turn of speed, increased his lead after entering the stretch, but tired near the end and had to be urged. LYSANDER moved up strongly nearing the stretch turn, but dropped back, then came again in the final eighth and was gaining on the winner at th finish. VALINA was taken up when in close quarters on the far turn, but came again and was racing fairly well at the end. VOLTDAIR made a strong move after going a quarter, but tired in the stretch. DOLICIA BOY seemed sore, going to the post and was badly outrun all the way, pulling up lame. SKY FOLLY tired .in the stretch. Overweight Valina, 3 pounds; Dolicia Boy, 2; Sky Folly, 3. LEE TORCH came fast when called upon in the final quarter and finished well. CRYSTAL SPEED was off slowly and lacked early speed, but made up much ground in the stretch and finished fast. RACK UP had early speed, but tired in the stretch. BALKAN LAND was on the outside all the way and lacked speed, turning in a very poor performance. LA NIMBA had a rough trip. HAPPY DINAH went to the front soon after the start and, showing a good turn of early speed, opened up a commanding lead while saving ground in the stretch to win decisively. BOSTON BROOK lacked early speed and dropped back to last place after breaking well, then came gamely under punishment in the last half mile and was gaining slowly at the end. PATROLITE raced evenly. CALAVERAS lacked early speed and was in close quarters on the inside, but came to the outside in the stretch and finished fairly well. MASKED GAL and PEP TALK had early speed, but tired. HOWDOINO was eased back repeatedly while in close quarters on the inside in the early running and did not gain racing room until nearing the finish, then came fast. PUDDIN tired in the stretch.
