GOV. CHANDLER NOMINATED HOT SPRINGS, Ark., April 6. J. C. Metz, Newport, Ky., new owner of Gov. Chandler, nominated the chestnut gelding for the Illinois Derby and expressed intention of starting the son of Reigh Count in the Kentucky Derby if he continues to train well. Gov. Chandler finished third in the running of the Arkansas Derby and it was a creditable performance.
