STAR PORTER, slow to begin and outrun early, improved his position steadily on the outside, came around the loaders rounding the stretch turn and finished with a rush while drawing away. MY SURPRISE, a forward factor all the way, showed a. good effort and held on well. SURPRISE BOX, on the inside in the early running, responded when urged, but was in close quarters in the stretch nearing the eighth post. IDLE ELF was kept in a forward position throughout and had no mishaps. IN MEMORY had no mishaps. PRINCE TURLEY showed good early speed, but quit badly. CONTINUITY lacked speed. PACK AWAY was outrun. The latter was under restraint in the early running, was sent up on the inside entering the stretch and finished fast. STORY TIME was outrun in the early stages, moved up on the outside rounding the stretch turn, lost much ground by going wide, but finished fast. SQUARE PLAY showed a good effort throughout. SNOBBY SCAMP saved ground rounding the stretch turn. RED LABEL had no mishaps. ITALIAN HARRY was outrun early. LITTLE WACKIE could not keep up. LADY PENNY raced evenly.
