T TROPICAL PARK TURF NOTES J. Johnson acquired the four-year-old filly Ethels Choice from Mrs. Ethel D. Jacobs at private terms and the new acquisition performed in the interest of her new owner in the eighth race Tuesday. Stone Martin, veteran gelding, which performed in the sixth race at Tropical Park Tuesday, broke his shoulder and was humanely destroyed. Frank Coltiletti received word from the breeding farm of J. Ball, near Baltimore, Md., that his good brood mare Village Vamp, which was in foal, died late Tuesday. One horse car, embracing the racing stock of W. H. Gallagher and W. T. Anderson, will leave Hialeah Park Thursday for the Metropolitan Jockey Club course at Jamaica, Long Island. Another scheduled shipment to leave the grounds of the Miami Jockey Club Thursday was the horses of R. W. Collins and G. C. Scott, which will be transferred to Lexington, Ky. Four members of the Collins stable and eight owned by the Scott establishment were in the shipment. Columbiana, 1937 winner of the Widener Challenge Cup, will be shipped to Lexington, Ky., Thursday by W. J. Hirsch. She will be mated to one of the leading sires of the American turf.
