1 BOWIE TURF NOTES The second claim of the meeting was filed when Mrs. Gordon Meekin claimed Ivory Tip out of the final race Tuesday, from C. Can field, for ,250. The Jones camera-will be used at the forthcoming Suffolk Downs meeting, according to word received here by cameraman Jones. W. C. Winfrey will saddle Cleaveland Putnams Moon Side for his stake engagement here on Saturday. Jockey J. Gilbert is engaged to ride the starter. Jim Flint, in charge of stall distribution on New York tracks, was a visitor Wednesday. James Ross Jr. came over from Havre de Grace and distributed condition books for that meeting. Capstan, a jumper owned by J. P. Jones, threw a stifle Wednesday morning and will be shipped to the farm. Jockey R. Merritt arrived from Tropical .Park Tuesday and will accept mounts at this meeting. One hundred and fifty horses are stabled at Laurel, the majority of which will be transferred to Havre de Grace for racing at that point. E. S. Weller and J. Alley schooled and broke the juveniles trained by J. P. Jones at Laurel Stock Farm. Fifteen two-year-olds are included in the stable.
