MAIN MANS NEXT OBJECTIVE J. B. Eespess Star Pointing for Ben Ali Handicap at Keeneland Next Saturday Afternoon. LEXINGTON, Ky., April 18. Main Man, J. B. Respess splendid home-bred son of Hildur, which opened his seasons campaign with a brilliant victory in the Phoenix Handicap, will attempt to add further to his laurels in Saturdays renewal of the ,500 added Ben Ali Handicap at Keeneland Park. Although he will be one of the high weights of the field of a dozen or more expected to run the one mile and one-sixteenth, Main Man demonstrated in his Phoenix victory that weight does not bother him. In that auspicious debut he packed 120 pounds and despite bad racing luck he was a handy winner. While Count Morse, winner of the 1937 renewal, will be missing from the field, Calumet Farm will be well represented by Crossbow II. and Galsun. The former has been used as a work horse for Bull Lea and with several good miles under his belt he will be ready for the issue. Galsun enjoyed winter racing and trounced a good field over the turf at Hialeah Park. WEIGHTS RELEASED TODAY. Others training for the race, weights for which will be released tomorrow, are C. R. Allens Ann Jones, W. E. Caskeys Royal Sortie, Ferguson and Hernandons Joslj, Greentree Stables Drowsy, A. B. Hancocks Recussion, Louise J. Hickmans Arabs Arrow and W. M. Ingrams Broadway. Mountain Ridge, Kentucky oJckey Club Stakes winner, will arrive here from Louisville Wednesday and in the event trainer Robert McGarvey decides to start Warbridge in the Mereworth Purse, he will reserve Mountain Ridge for the Ben Ali Handicap. It will be Mountain Ridges first effort since his Jockey Club Stakes victory, but he has been training in fine style at Churchill Downs.
