NO RECALL, away well, saved ground on the inside rounding the turn, came fast entering the stretch and, under slight urging through the final stages, drew away to win easily. NEGO ELE, off in front, dropped back early and came to the outside in the stretch to Finish strongly. BOSTONIAN LADY forged to the front in the first eighth, set the pace to midway of the stretch, but tired in the final drive. SHASTA WARBLE was in close quarters going to the first turn and had to be taken up momentarily, but was racing nicely in the final eighth when clear. LA SELF could never get up. CARMARLITA raced evenly throughout. GLAZENWOOD forced the pace to the stretch, but quit. The others were always outrun. Scratched 54040 Los Trancos, 112. PROUD SANTA rushed into a long lead soon after the start and was never seriously threatened thereafter. BOURNEMOUTH was slow to get into stride, but closed fast in the stretch run and, under a drive, took second place narrowly in the final stride. SIR SATIN closed with a rush on the inside entering the stretch and was going strongly at the finish, but failed to hold BOURNEMOUTH safe in the closing drive. PHONOLOGIST raced with good courage for a half mile, but tired. MIRELLA showed good early speed, but quit in the run home. BAD BOY raced well for a half mile, then quit. DAZETTA, away slowly, steadily moved up on the extreme outside going down the back stretch, rushed up on the outside of the loaders rounding the far turn and, under a hard drive through the stretch, lasted to win narrowly. MORTGAGE PRIDE, close up for the first quarter, dropped back slightly rounding the stretch turn, then came again when straightened out in the stretch and was gaining on the winner in the closing strides. ABERCROMBIE, far back for the first half mile, closed with a rush between horses entering the stretch to finish fastest. CRYSTAL FLASH came from far back in the final eighth and was going gamely at the finish. LA HONDA, rushed to the front in the first few yards, set the pace to the far turn, then tired. ROSSER S. took command on the far turn and led to the stretch, then quit badly. PROPRIETOR raced well to the stretch, then quit as if short. Overweight Fair Heart, 3 pounds. TULEBY raced to the front soon after the start, drew away rounding the turn, but had to be hustled along in the final six lengths to hold the fast-closing HIGH ACE. The latter, never far from the winner, closed fast in the stretch and was catching the winner at the finish. LITTLE STEIN forced the pace to the stretch, then tired in the final drive. POLVOS IMAGE saved all the ground possible rounding the stretch turn, but was never able to reach the leaders, though going gamely s. the end. TUG O WAR closed a biggap in the final eighth. LORENA J. forced the pace for the first quarter, then dropped back on the turn and came again in the stretch, but was no match for the winner, although" much the best of the others. BARCAROLLE raced to the front soon after the break, set the pace to the turn, then tired when the winner challenged. STARLO raced gamely throughout, but was never able to reach the leaders. CHICA was rushed up on the inside rounding the turn and showed good speed to the stretch, then tired. GABBO showed nothing. BATTLING KNIGHT took command going to the first turn, was hustled into a good lead in the back stretch, but had to be hard driven in the final seventy yards to get the decision narrowly. SIR THOMAS, outrun for the first half mile, closed steadily rounding the far turn, closed fast on the outside of the leaders in the final eighth and was catching the winner at the wire. QUICK CLOUD, always a forward factor, closed fast between horses in the stretch, was in very close quarters in the final few yards and just missed the place by a scant margin. ADIRONDACK, far back in the first half mile, saved ground on the inside rail rounding the far turn and closed strongly in the final eighth. GAUL showed good early speed, then tired in the final drive. BIDDYS TOY also raced well for the first half mile. The others werenever serious contenders. ROYALTY CHECK swerved slightly at the start and raced close up to the final eighth, then tired. MY NOMINEE was never able to get up. BLACK VAN raced evenly.
