OAKS CANDIDATES WORK WELL LEXINGTON, Ky., April 23 Dixieland and Cross Keys, the property of D. B. Mid-kiff and Howard Wells and candidates for the Kentucky Oaks, one of the principal stakes to be renewed at Churchill Downs durjng the coming meeting, displayed impressive trials Saturday morning at Keeneland when they went a mile in 1:42. They were timed the half in :49 and three-quarters in 1:16. Another good trial recorded was that, of Valdina Farms Clark Handicap eligible, Eagle Pass, which breezed eight furlongs in 1:42. The fractions for Eagle Pass work were a half mile in :49, three-quarters in 1:15 and the mile in 1:42.
