Won driving; second and third the same. .ZEVSTAR took the lead at the start and, kept in that position to the end, where he began tiring and just managed to outlast the fast-closing TOIKE OIKE. The latter, under restraint throughout, showed a burst of speed near the end, but could not outgame the winner. ROSE HAZEN made up some ground in the stretch and just managed to beat KELTNER. The latter raced strongly all the way, but could not untrack himself. BUSY SALLY tired badly in the stretch. The others had no mishaps. OGLE, under steady restraint, came up on the outside with a rush and outgamed SEA CHARMER. The latter was in a pocket, managed to come into the lead in the stretch when clear, but could not withstand the challenge of the winner; NANTICOKE took an early lead at the three-quarters turn, but tired at the end. MOBILE raced evenly and saved a little ground. ROPING improved position after a slow getaway. ROLLS NICE came out of the gate with a rush and improved position, but tired badly and was completely out of contention when the three-quarters was reached. The others had no mishaps.
