MISS WISE, away fast, drew clear after disposing of BEAVER LAKE, responded to strong urging when tiring and withstood OURAY. The latter moved up rapidly after rounding the far turn, responded to strong 1 urging after losing ground on the stretch turn and was gaining on the winner at .the end. PRIMER, in close 1 quarters early, came fast when clear in the stretch and finished strongest. PARVA STELLA, unable to find . room early, moved forward after three-eighths and held on gamely. BE DISCREET raced wide. ALLEGORY came from well back. HUEU went wide when improving his position and tired. GAMALIEL failed to keep up. I ABLE ABE quit. Overweight Able Abe, 2 pounds; Usay, 5. BELLITAS BABE, away well and on the inside early, was taken back approaching the stretch, came to the outside when improving position and got up in the final stride. FLYING UP, much the best and under incompetent handling, began very slowly, improved position rapidly on the inside in the stretch, then drew clear after reaching the lead and received no help from the rider. OURS, hustled along, raced into the lead entering the stretch, was unable to withstand FLYING UP and tired. ODDESA UPSET, going in his best form and rushed to the front, was unable to draw clear, was forced wide entering the stretch and tired. CHARMETTE raced evenly. The others were outrun. FULL TILT, well handled and steadied along early, moved up when called upon, wore down ROYAL CHARM approaching the final eighth and withstood BEREIT. The latter, taken in hand when outrun, came again when entering the final three-eighths and, responding to strong handling, was wearing down the winner. CHESTER ROSE worked her way forward on the inside and finished strongly. ROYAL CHARM, hustled alone to take command after five-sixteenths, drew clear rapidly, gave way when challenged and tired rapidly in the last stages. GALLEY SWEEP had no mishaps. XENOMAY took command at once, established a clear lead, was steadied along to the stretch and, responding to licht urging, won easily. ELOOTO, reserved early, improved position when called upon, bore over badly on STRAIGHT THRU and SORTIE STAR approaching the final eighth and, then benefited, out-finished SORTIE STAR. The latter worked way forward on the inside and was forced into the rail by interference in the stretch, then came fast when clear. STRAIGHT THRU, well up from the start, moved up after five-sixteenths, was forced back when ELOOTO bore over and tired therafter. ALLANWOOD was outrun. C-NOTE quit. Continued on eighteenth page. PAL O SWEEP racing forwardly, swung extremely wide on the stretch turn, but, coming fast when straightened, finished strongly BIT O BLACK rushed to the front, established a big lead and tired in the dnve.
