SORTIE STAR STABLE STAR LOUISVILLE, Ky., April 4. The four-year-old Sortie Star, an eligible for the Clark and Kentucky Handicaps, to be run during the coming meeting at Churchill Downs, heads the modest stablewhich will carry the colors of M. Joseph Schmitt here this spring. Sortie Star, recent winner of the Memphis Handicap at Oaklawn Park, arrived at the Downs with four stablemates from Hot Springs, in care of trainer S. T. Mapp. Besides the four-year-old British Star and the three-year-old Star Lina, the stable includes a pair of juveniles. One is True Star, a son of Transmute and Cogartown, and the other is Star o Manna, a filly by Man o Night and Dawn of Virginia. True Star is a nominee for the Bashford Manor Stakes, while Star o Manna has been made eligible for the Debutante Stakes.
