Won driving; second and third the same. ROAMING AGAIN displayed the most speed throughout, but was doing his best during the closing stages to stall off SHE DID. The latter came very fast on the outside of opposition through the stretch and was rapidly wearing down the winner. SISTER POLLY was a keen factor throughout and held on fairly well at the end. SONNY JOHN saved ground for most of the trip, but tired in the final test. LITTLE JACK displayed some early speed. RUBAIYAT dwelt when the break came and was practically left. BON FLY came very fast on the outside entering the stretch and. continuing gamely through the final eighth, wore down SPANISH BELLE in the last few strides. SPANISH BELLE "displaced WAR GRAND from the lead nearing the turn for home and held on courageously in the final drive. ONUS worked way up on the outside, finishing stoutly. SAN FRANCISCO came again during the run home. WAR GRAND quit rapidly after displaying good speed to the stretch head, as did MOON BOW MISS. Overweight — Moon Bow Miss, 2 pounds. EIGHTH RACE 1 MILE. Won driving; second and third the same. CHARMAC closed up with good courage on the outside of the leaders through the stretch and, under keen urging, got up in the final stride. OPOCA raced forwardly, made a game bid in the last eighth and held on with determination in the final test. HADMORE took command midway of the back stretch, opened up an easy lead, but faltered when called upon for the final drive. MAESIDE came strongly through the last eighth.
