MISTY LAD . slow to settle into her best stride, began bettering her position in the last three eighths and, taking command midway of the stretch, drew out in the last sixteenth. MONTBARS. outrun early, moved up steadily in the last five-sixteenths and closed with splendid energy. SEAMAN showed good speed in the going, forced the pace of LADY INSCO and made a determined bid to get to the front, but tired in the last eighth. LAD INSJF° took command at once, was rated along under slight reserve while meeting determined opposition from SEAMAN and tired in the last eighth. VALDINA CAPER was unable to engage the leaders. CAESAR S CROWN, well placed early, was unable to keep pace. BETTY K. tired. ACCUSE ME ran away about five miles after unseating her rider at the post, then was ordered withdrawn and all wagers were refunded. LINAS SON, steadied along early while following along within striking distance of the pace, took command in the stretch when the pacemaker began tiring and drew out throueh the closing eighth. IN DUTCH raced prominently placed throughout and held on with good energy in the closing drive. ELMER, slow to begin and outrun for a half mile, was brought to the outside in the stretch and finished determinedly. BUCKS IMAGE showed good early speed in the going, then tired in the last three-sixteenths and just lasted to gain a dead heat with VITAL LADY. The latter worked her way up gradually and finished with gotid energy. POST LUCK had brief earlv speed, then tired in the last five sixteenths. JANE VITO, well placed, was unable to keep up. CHING LING quit badlv. ON THE DOT dropped back fast after beginning alertly. CATAPULT went to the front soon after the start, drew awav into a eood lead, was rated along under slight restraint, withstood bold contention from ROUGH BISCUIT after straightening out in the stretch and held him safe to the end. ROUGH BISCUIT worked his way up gradually, moved up on the outside in the stretch, impeded COUNT COTTON nearing the eighth post and. while fiehting it out determinedly, was not quite good enough. COUNT COTTON moved up stoutlv midway of the turn and made a determined bid in the stretch, but tired slightly in the closing eighth. SAVING GRACE raced forwardly placed throughout, but was unable to go along with the leaders in the closing drive. GALWAY, hard ri-fden, was unable to enter serious contention. MISS CO ED raced forwardly throueh the back stretch, then began dropping back. SHERLOCK, away slowly, wai outrun throughout. WAR COUNSELLOR, well placed throughout, was on the outside, attempted to bear out approaching the stretch and, wearing down the leaders, came out through the last Sixteenth. MANIPULATE, prominent from the start, fought it out in determined fashion with AGRADEL and. while overtaking the latter, was unable to cope with the closing challenge of the winner. AGRADEL. quickest to start, saved ground all the way, but was unable to cope with the first two during the stretch run. MIAMI SUN, unable to keep pace early, closed with good enerev during the final drive. BASS FIDDLE was unable to enter into serious contention. SHEMITE, hard ridden while holding to a position on the outside, gained a short advantage in the stretch, but was unable to hold to her load under punishment. SILVER TOWER was rated along in closest attendance of the pare established by SIGANAR, moved up on the outside in the stretch and, gaining a short lead at the eighth post, came out steadily during the remainder of the trip. SIGANAR outran his field from the start, opened up a good lead and, rated along under slight reserve, made a game bid to go along with the winner when challenged, but was not good enough. BURGOO TRAIL, well placed and lightly reserved, was unabie to endanger the first two. DEAR YANKEE went evenly. Overweight — Silver Tower, 1 pound. Corrected weight — Just Tourist, 112.
