Dorsett Among Field of Six Routers in Aurora Purse CICERO, 111., May 12.— With racing well into the final week here at Sportsmans Park, racing secretary Patrick C. Galliger continues to provide the best in racing that this half-mile oval has witnessed since its opening. Wednesdays card of eight events, which headed by the Aurora Purse, an allowance race for three-year-olds and older horses, should provide the fans with a very interesting afternoon of sport. This event, which will be contested over the route distance of a mile and seventy yards, brings together six of the better-class routers stabled here on the grounds. T. M. Dorsett, a six-year-old horse from the stable of Joe W. Brown who is making his third start at this meeting, appears as the one to rule favorite at post time. This useful plater has been competing at the shorter routes, but from the way he has been closing at the finish, looks as though he will be able to go on at the longer distances. The son of Cohort — Michigan Girl has been in the money in both of his previous appearances and is ready for a good performance over what promises to be an "off" track. The C. H. Dursch colorbearer Relious, who has turned in some real sparkling races here, looms as the one to provide the stiffest competition in the feature. His last race was at a mile and one-sixteenth, in which he finished second to Three Clovers. Having been defeated by only a scant nose shows that this son of Brilliant favors the longer routes. Bobs Way, who races in the interests of E. R. Moulder, showed a lot of early speed in his last appearance here and seems to be the one of the others to prove a dangerous factor. Although he finished in last place, the race may have proved a tightener for him. The others who are scheduled to parade postward in the midweek feature are Evil Spirit, Moselem and Allen-jay.
