Crack Field Is Expected For Governors Handicap McLennan Predicts at Least Eight Starters for Stake BOSTON, Mass., May 12.— Checking up on the possible field, racing secretary Charles McLennan expressed the opinion that between eight and ten starters were likely for the sixth running of the Governors Handicap, one mile event, for a purse of ,000 added, which will feature the first Saturday of racing at Suffolk Downs. McLennan expects Mrs. Louise Palla-dinos Little Beans, John L. Sullivans Air Master and Transfigure, Charles E. Nelsons Alaking, Bernard B. Robinsons No Competition, J. H. Miles Itabo, John R. Macombers Side Arm, and the Coldstream Stables Tragic Ending to accept the issue. The Circle S Stables Hysterical, top weight of the field at 122 pounds; Victor Emanuels Omission, and the Valdina Farms Viscounty are listed as possible starters. Should Hysterical, who is on the grounds, pass up the Governors Handicap, then Little Beans, who finished second to Bell Tower in the Town Lyne Handicap here on opening day, will have the privilege of sharing the honor of carrying top weight, as both he and Air Master have been assigned 118 pounds. Alaking, also expected to start, comes I next in McLennans weight assignments, | being asked to carry 117 pounds. - No Competition, who won the 0,000 added Rhode Island Handicap in his last start, will carry 115 pounds.
